Yesssss, it’s that time of the year again! The time where we exchange the flavours of winter for the sunshiny flavours of spring. It’s officially the kick-off of gin tonic season and we can’t wait to sit down in the sunshine, a gin tonic in hand, and enjoy the cool spring breeze. If you haven’t had your first gin tonic of the season yet, this is your cue. Because is it even spring if you haven’t felt the bubbles of your gin tonic sparkling in your face? Of course not! Here are 3 gin tonics that are perfect for spring!

 

What’s a gin tonic?

A gin tonic is made with what it’s called: gin and tonic. It’s incredibly simple and even more tasty! But just because it’s simple doesn’t mean that there aren’t an endless amount of flavour combinations you can try. This time we chose our favourite gin tonics for spring.

 

What gin tonics are perfect for spring?

 

The Limoncello Tonica

Limoncello Tonica Gin Tonic

An Italian cocktail that you make with Limoncello and tonic. Perfectly refreshing and a delicious gin tonic for spring.

 

How to make it:

1) Use a nice gin tonic glass. Fill it with ice and use big ice cubes, the bigger the better!

2) Pick your favourite Limoncello. Use a jigger and add 30 ml to the glass.

3) Add 150 ml tonic.

4) Add a slice of lemon and a basil flower.

5) Stir with a bar spoon and your sunny spring cocktail is good to go!

The Violet Berry Bomb

Blueberry gin tonic

Spring calls for the use of flowers and fruits! This spring time gin tonic is made with blueberries and violets. Sweet and tasteful!

 

How to make it:

1) Get a large gin tonic glass and fill it with ice cubes.

2) Add a handful of blueberries.

3) Use a jigger and add 30 ml gin. We love to use blackberry gin for an extra taste explosion!

4) Add 150 ml tonic.

5) Add a teaspoon of honey and stir well.  

6) Garnish with violets and your spring gin tonic is served!

 

The Classic

Gin tonic classic

Just as spring comes around every year, so returns the classic gin tonic. Because why fix something that isn’t broken? You can never go wrong with a classic gin tonic!

 

How to make it:

1) Use a big bowl gin tonic glass and fill it with ice cubes.

2) Choose your favourite gin. Use a jigger and add 30 ml to the glass.

3) Add 150 ml tonic.

4) Stir with a barspoon and your classic G&T is ready to drink!
