4 great coffee cocktails that are easy to make at home!

 

As human beings we love two things: coffee and cocktails! On average, we consume about two to three cups of coffee a day and after that we even order coffee with a little something extra after we’ve had dinner in a restaurant. But why would you only enjoy a special coffee (cocktail) when you’re out? There are a lot of great coffee cocktails that are easy to make at home and we would like to tell you about our four favourites!

 

Espresso Stout

Whoever said that beer and cocktails don’t go well together has never tried the Espresso Stout!

 

What you need:

  • 25 ml espresso
  • 25 ml coffee liqueur
  • 250 ml stout
  • Ice cubes

 

How to make it:

1) Get yourself a shaker and pour in 25 ml espresso (can still be hot), a handful of ice cubes and 25 ml coffee liqueur.

2) Shake it like your life depends on it.

3) Pour it out into a tumbler using a strainer so the ice cubes stay in the shaker.

4) Add 250 ml of stout beer. Preferably a strong one with notes of chocolate.

 

The Gentleman

Now, it might not look like a Gentleman’s cocktail, but that’s exactly what it’s called!

 

What you need:

  • 30 ml cognac
  • Brown cane sugar
  • Double espresso
  • Whipped cream
  • Almond and chocolate chips

 

How you make it:

1) Pour the cognac into a glass and add two teaspoons brown cane sugar.

2) Flambé the liqueur and stir until the sugar has dissolved.

3) Add the double espresso.

4) Top off with whipped cream and add the almond and chocolate chips.

 

Black Velvet

Black velvet isn’t just a song, it’s also a killer cocktail with coffee and champagne!

 

What you need:

  • Stout beer 90 ml
  • Champagne 90 ml
  • 15 ml coffee liqueur

 

How you make it:

1) Pour the champagne into a flute.

2) Pour in the stout and coffee liqueur and stir with a bar spoon.

 

Iced Espresso cocktail

Category: coffee cocktail, vodka cocktail, iced coffee

The Iced Espresso is thé cocktail for Friday afternoon drinks (at the office). 

 

What you need:

  • 230 ml espresso (cold)
  • 30 ml sugar syrup
  • 30 ml almond milk
  • 60 ml caramel vodka
  • Ice cubes

 

How to make it:

1) Fill a tumbler with ice cubes.

2) Add in the espresso, sugar syrup, almond milk and caramel vodka.

3) Stir with a bar spoon.
