Is a night with your girls long overdue? Hosting a girls’ night at home is a fun way to catch up with your girls and you have more quality time to actually talk than you would have at a club! These are our four tips to make it a night to remember, plus three cocktail recipes that will make it a girls’ night for the books!

 

What do you need for a spectacular girls’ night?

1. Your besties

There’s no girls’ night without your gang of most trusted girlfriends! So hop on that invite train and invite your girls over for a night filled with fun, cocktails and (bad) music and make it a girls’ night to remember!

 

2. A playlist of your favourite hits

Make a playlist of your all-time favourite songs and put them on! You can never go wrong with classics like an all-female playlist, the classics from your youth or switch it up with a theme!

 

3. Cocktail party outfits

Just because you’re staying in, doesn’t mean you can’t get dressed up! You can all dress in cocktail party outfits or choose a theme with a dress code! For example, fun themes to dress up to are Roaring Twenties and All out 90’s or 00’s.

 

4. A selection of killer cocktails

It wouldn’t be a Girls’ Night without a selection of spectacular cocktails, now would it? We’ve got some beauties lined up for you: The Pink Cloud, The 43 Sour and last but not least…The Pornstar Martini!

 

The Pink Cloud

What’s not to love about this pink beauty with cotton candy?! This has to be the most perfect pink cocktail we’ve ever seen. How about you?

 

Ingredients

Cranberry juice (30 ml), lime juice (20 ml), peach tree (15 ml), parfait amour (15 ml), vodka (40 ml), one egg white (optional), ice cubes.

 

Recipe

1. Put the egg white in a cocktail shaker (optional).
2. Add the cranberry juice, lime juice, peach tree, parfait amour and vodka to the shaker.
3. Shake hard without the ice (dry shake)!
4. Add ice cubes and close the shaker firmly.
5. Shake it again, but with a smile!
6. Remove the lid of the shaker and taste the cocktail.
7. If you like the taste, pour the cocktail through a strainer into a cocktail glass.
8. Place the cotton candy garnishment on the stem of the glass.
9. Serve….

The 43 Sour

Shake it up with the 43 Sour! This cocktail is made with egg whites, which make it look like a lemony cappucino. What's not to love?!

 

Ingredients

Licor 43 (60 ml), lemon juice (30 ml), homemade orange and cinnamon syrup (10 ml), one egg white (optional), ice cubes.

 

Recipe

1. Put the egg white in a cocktail shaker (optional).
2. Add the orange and cinnamon syrup, lemon juice and licor 43 to the shaker.
3. Shake hard without the ice (dry shake)!
4. Add ice cubes and close the shaker firmly.
5. Shake it again, but with a smile!
6. Remove the lid of the shaker and taste the cocktail.
7. If you like the taste, pour the cocktail through a strainer into a whiskey glass.
8. Peel the orange and use it to make a garnish the rim of the glass.
9. Serve…

The Pornstar Martini

It’s getting hot in here! The Pornstar Martini is one of the most popular cocktails in NL and the UK. And of course Jan Dirk Hospitality makes it extra special with homemade vanilla syrup and passion fruit purée. Definitely one of the sexiest cocktails to drink on a girls’ night!

 

Ingredients

Vodka (50 ml), passion fruit purée (50 ml), homemade vanilla syrup (30 ml), one passion fruit, ice cubes.

 

Recipe

1. Add all the ingredients to the shaker, except for the garnishment.
2. Add ice cubes and close the shaker firmly.
3. Shake and smile!
4. Remove the lid of the shaker and taste the cocktail.
5. If you like the taste, pour the cocktail through a strainer into a cocktail glass.
6. Slice the passion fruit in half and loosen the pulp. Add a few drops of the vanilla syrup to taste.
7. Use a teaspoon to carefully place the passion fruit in the Pornstar Martini and…
8. …ENJOY!
